Some vehicles have a powerful street presence, accompanied by a compelling identity, and a strong brand statement. Do we really have to tell you that the Range Rover Sport is one of those vehicles.

This truck just oozes, refinement, exclusivity, power, and serious cool.

In the rarefied atmosphere of SUV's with 500+ horsepower the Range Rover is the most popular on Canadian roads.

The interior is meticulously well finished, with all the features that you expect, from parking sensors, to back up camera, to rear seat entertainement. While the matte finished straight grain Walnut ads richness.

All the safety features that you expect are present, the rear seat entertainement with the controls in the rear centre armrest is a wonderful touch. The center screen is intuitive to use, the sound system is phenomenal, the front seat arm rests are a nice touch, although annoying when securing the front seat belts.

At this price range you expect all the features, and they are all present.

This truck has the traditional off road body on frame construction with a low range in the transfer case. In addition to a comprehensive terrain management system, accompanied by an adjustable height air suspension. Few SUV's still have the capability to handle challenging off road situations, having migrated to unit body construction, while no longer having a 2 speed transfer case (low range is essential for serious off roading).

Although one might never get into challenging situations with a Range Rover, when investing substantial sums in an SUV's, having serious off road capabilities is added value.

The drive...

You would a expect a body on frame to show the occasional fact that is body attached to a frame, this truck is absolutely rock solid, even on harsh broken pavement, its solid, and inspires confidence.

Although its an SUV, there is a strong element of sport in its behavior, it encourages spirited approaches to on/off ramps, the engine makes all the correct enthusiast sounds from a subtle blower whine, to a mellifluous exhaust gurgle, obvious it has the required paddle shifts too.

The steering has the correct feel, the brakes inspire confidence even at higher speeds.

On surface streets, and navigating parking lots the back up camera, parking sensors, and power tailgate facilitate the task of acquiring the essentials of modern life, the cargo area allows the ability of transporting spur of the moment bulky pruchases when the rear seat is folded (easy to fold).

On the highway its supremely effortless, with huge amounts of waftability.

Do you need a Range Rover Sport, probably not. Do you want a Range Rover Sport especially if you are an enthusiast, yes you do.

Should we mention that if you are considering a 500+ horsepower SUV, you must experience tha Range Rover Sport.
